Hello, I am Kasen Hampton, and I am running for Mayor of Lake Wales as a non-partisan candidate. As a lifelong member of this community, I have nothing but its best interests at heart, and I only want to see it thrive and grow, but I feel as if the current incumbency is only hyper-focused on future developments and not taking into consideration the struggles of their constituencies, and how they navigate everyday life.
Despite my age, I am very passionate, and I even plan on going into public service wherever I reside, I plan on one day running for higher office and making it my one goal to ensure everyone is heard and that no voice is drowned out, regardless of party. since I was 13, I have always been fascinated by learning the art of politics and public service. I loved learning about parliamentary procedure and listening to speeches on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. I also enjoy reading the laws passed by Congress and learning how to write my own laws.

I plan to expand upon the manifest of events hosted by the government of Lake Wales, advocating for things like bingo under the stars and city-wide karaoke, making every night a little bit more eventful.
Secondly, I will work with locals to develop our digital infrastructure, ensuring that all members of our community are informed.
I plan to complete any and all projects that are already in progress and divert my focus to more effective ventures, like assisting all business leaders in jump-starting their businesses.
Secondly, I plan to advocate for funding to support our library, road management, infrastructure improvements, business development, and the revitalization of our buildings. focusing on our city as a whole instead of just certain areas.
I will aim to promote a budget increase so that our officers can more effectively tackle crime. I will lead an initiative to modernize and enhance the Police Department building, fostering greater opportunities for development and success. I will advocate for a pay increase for our law enforcement to $77,697 per year to ensure we are staying competitive amongst the cities that are equal in size and population.
